The reason for having firearms was for security, Second Amendment as they’d little in the real way of prepared protection which could cover every community. It has been over two hundred years since that and the United States of America has changed, for the better day.
The Constitution was written, the United States was still young and undeveloped at the time.
With nearly 18,000 police stations in the united states, and over 1,300,000 soldiers active at any time, the United States is well protected.
